Search operators

The same syntax, close to Gmail's, is used in the search box, filters and standing orders. A filter matches exactly the results of the same search. Words without an operator are searched for in the subject, the people, attachment names, the body (quoted history left out) and the text of attached emails. Spam and Trash are excluded unless in:spam, in:trash or in:anywhere is added.

For a guided tour with examples, see Search.
