Settings Overview

The Settings panel is your central hub for configuring and customizing MAESTRO. This comprehensive guide walks you through each settings tab and explains how to configure them for optimal performance.

Accessing Settings

To access the Settings panel: 1. Click the Settings button in the top-right corner of any page 2. Or navigate directly via the gear icon in the interface

The Settings panel is organized into multiple tabs, each controlling different aspects of MAESTRO:

  • Profile - Personal information and password management
  • Appearance - Visual customization and theme settings
  • AI Config - Language model configuration
  • Search - Web search provider settings
  • Web Fetch - Web page fetching configuration
  • Research - Research mission parameters
  • Admin - User management (admin users only)

Quick Setup Guide

For first-time users, configure settings in this order:

  1. Profile - Update your password and personal information
  2. AI Config - Set up your AI provider and API keys
  3. Search - Configure web search capabilities

Saving Settings

Most settings are saved automatically when changed. Look for: - Save & Close button at the bottom of each tab - Confirmation messages after saving - Green checkmarks indicating successful saves

Troubleshooting Settings

Settings Not Saving

  • Check your internet connection
  • Ensure you have proper permissions
  • Try refreshing the page

API Key Issues

  • Verify key is correct and active
  • Check provider account for usage limits
  • Test connection using the Test button

Model Not Available

  • Ensure API key has access to selected model
  • Check provider documentation for model availability
  • Try selecting a different model
